MISSION
The Institute will initiate and support research,
service, education, and training to improve the
quality of long term health care in Texas.
In order to meet its mission, the Institute has established these goals:
- Conduct needs assessments for improving the quality of life and services in long term health care.
- Provide consultation to facility or agency personnel, state officials, and other health care professionals.
- Provide educational programs and training which promotes quality long term health care services.
- Conduct and provide funding for research activities which will improve the quality of care provided by long term health care delivery systems within the State of Texas.
- Disseminate information and provide service to long term health care providers, state officials, and state legislators relating to quality improvement in long term health care.
