The Texas Long Term Care Institute awards scholarships to deserving students who are pursuing careers relevant to

long term care services.

Students must complete an application and be nominated by a faculty member.

In accepting the scholarship students must agree to the following:

1.       complete a minimum of one 3-hour course in the field of aging,

2.       complete an internship in an approved long term care placement,

3.       seek employment in the long term care field after graduation,

4.       notify the Institute upon securing employment,

5.       notify the Institute regarding future address changes, and

6.       serve as a resource to your academic department and the Institute.

Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1000.00 and are available to undergraduate and graduate students.
